One of the reasons Instagram has quickly become my favorite social media channel (follow me here!) is because it gives me a glimpse into the every day life of other mamas around the world, whenever I may be looking for a little inspiration. It’s where I first found Leia, a young mother and entrepreneur in Paris, whose lovely, white-washed look at the world seems serene, stylish and sweet. Her adorable line of organic baby apparel, Diapers & Milk, was designed with fashion and function in mind, letting your little ones explore the world in comfortable basics that are cute and cool at the same time. And her “every day life” has Paris as its backdrop…which means Insta dose of inspiration in my book. Here is how she does it:

What time does your day start and how?

My day starts at 7:30am. My daughter wakes me up and asks me for milk, which she drinks while I drink my coffee. While my husband takes a shower, I dress my daughter. Then it’s my turn to take a shower while my husband makes her toast. Before having my daughter I was not much of a morning person. Now it’s worse. (lol)

What time does your day end and how?

My day ends at 1:00am. Just because I never stop working! The evening is the time that I answer all my emails and I prepare my appointments for the following day.

Do you work from home or in an office? What is the set up like?

I work from home but I am also outside a lot for my meetings with retailers, press, blog, etc. My office is small but very cozy. I use my computer and my iPad (two essential things!). And what I love the most is my mood board, my inspiration.

Do you see/speak to your kids throughout your work day? If yes, how/when?

I reserve a good part of my weekend for my daughter. I talk to her a lot, we laugh and we play a lot together. The rest of the week, my daughter is not at home but at the nursery. This is easier for me because it allows me to concentrate on my work.

What is the best thing about being a working mom? Hardest thing?

The best part is that it is due to India that I do what I do today. My brand was born because my daughter inspires me every day. I cannot thank her enough for choosing us as parents.

The hardest thing is that sometimes I work too much and I always have to be careful that it does not interfere with our family time.

Be honest, what is one thing you envy about stay at home moms?

Seriously, nothing. I am very happy to have such a full life, and I think that’s what makes my family time so precious. I enjoy every second, every minute with them. And besides that, I do what I love most, I create.

Answer the question “I don’t know how you do it?” in ten words or less.

I am passionate.

And here are some of Leia’s must-haves of the moment:

I’m getting quite addicted to Instagram over any other social media channel for the same reason. I love getting that quick view into other’s lives, both moms and other people I might never meet in real life, such as chefs and other wellness-type IGers.
