Jewelry designer and mom of two Jennifer Meyer is one of my favorite stylish mamas to watch. This interview with her in Net a Porter’s The Edit was a fun read. She is also launching a new capsule collection with Rachel Zoe later this month as well – check it out above.

One very impactful minute in a recent commencement speech given by Jim Carrey.

Oh sugar, you nasty little bitch. Since coming off The 30 Clean, going back to sugar has been my biggest weakness (far more than carbs or dairy). This post from Rebecca about its effects on her little one is a must-read for any parents of high-energy kids out there. I love to indulge my kids with sweets and treats (who doesn’t??) but I also see a direct impact, though not quite this intense, when they have too much. Terrible three’s and sugar crashes are simply not a match made in heaven.

My Instagram feed has been flooded with beautiful images from people abroad this month. Paris, Italy, Prague, Laos. It has given me a serious case of wanderlust and my husband and I have been talking more and more lately about how we need to invest more in travel moving forward and less in material things like a bigger house. Especially as the kids are growing up. We want them to see a world far beyond these suburban walls…regardless of how lovely they may be. Camille’s shots from her trip to St. Tropez are some of my faves.

We have been noticing patterns in Kai’s behavior lately. Around 3/4 in the afternoon, this little guy is like a tornado, spinning wildly around our house, harnessing way too much energy for his little body to handle. This piece describes a lot of what we have concluded already: he is simply not getting enough physical activity in his day. Rather than trying to temper his energy and outbursts, we’ve started taking him right outside at that time of day to run and jump and play and it has been a huge help.

30 Smart Career Moves You Should Make by 30. PS – it’s never too late. I am 36 and planning on adopting a few of these now.

Finally, if you follow me on Instagram, you saw this post last night. I have never been short on ideas in this life. Things to do, things to make, businesses to launch. But most of the time, they stay in idea mode. I am 36 now. At this stage, I am done dreaming up ideas…I need to start putting some of them into motion. Some of them may work, some of them may not. But at least I won’t be stuck dreaming my life away. I hope you will consider doing the same.

Have a great weekend!

Ugh, same for me re: sugar. I was SO good on the 30 Clean and felt great too. I might do it again in July. I know– crazy.

Ha. Not crazy. I have contemplated it as well but July is just way too much fun for me to do it 😉 I have, however, been fairly good at sticking to the principles 75% of the time, so I don’t feel TOO terrible. Let me know how it goes if you do it again! I imagine it will be easier.
