SaturdayReads-WhatWouldGwynethDo

It’s my birthday today. And I wasn’t sure I was ready for it…this week has been long and stressful and tiring and I was feeling so sorry for myself and didn’t want another year to go by feeling that way.

So I kind of wanted to stay 35 for just a few more days.

But here it is. 36. And I don’t want to start the year feeling sorry for myself or worried or anxious or not good enough. I want to start it feeling strong and happy and aware.

So here’s to a year that I hope to spend chasing my dreams, finding happiness in the every day, and saying “heck yes” to life.

Here are some reads for your Saturday – hope it’s a great one:

How to arrange flowers. I am taking a flower arranging course via Design Love Fest next month and I am so excited to finally be indulging in this passion I have admired from afar for so long.

6 Signs You Love Your Job.

6 Rituals of Extremely Successful People.

The secret word that will get your preschooler to help clean. Any word that will get my preschooler to do anything I ask of him is welcome around here these days.

Always love SJP and this story in The Edit has some beautiful photos in it.

Have a great weekend – only two more days before I start The 30 Clean! Yikes. Off to eat a cupcake.

PS – I may dismantle this blog’s Facebook page soon. Too many channels, not enough energy; and I have so much more fun on Instagram and Pinterest. Hope you will follow me there instead!

A similar trick for school-aged kids: “leader”. I learned this from one of my son’s ECEs this week. Now we talk about leader actions and so far so good!
