This week flew by and I am really looking forward to the weekend and a quick pre-Valentine’s Day jaunt to the desert with my man, sans kids. We need some time to just be married, without having to be parents and employees and friends and sons and daughters at the same time. Time to just be man and wife. And to do it fabulously. Know what I mean? Here are some of the things I loved this week online – I hope you find a little inspiration or a laugh or two:

The seat assignment science behind the front row at Fashion Week.

The most romantic story you will read this Valentine’s Day. I was so lucky to have Donna share a little piece of her life here a while back; her story of love, loss and motherhood is simply amazing. A poignant reminder to be thankful and not take one day for granted.

Does this story sound familiar? It sure did to me. Hands Free Mama is on my to-read list, and this preview of it is why.

A great piece to share with the teachers in your life.

Putting yourself out there online, in any manner, is tough. This blogger is facing her critics head on and showing us that the real power does not lie behind the anonymous keyboards but in the brave voices and faces on the screen.

And finally, this post I wrote about friendship. It spread like a little bit of wildfire this week and gave me my biggest readership numbers EVER (!) on the blog. And it wasn’t from being published on The Huffington Post or AOL.com or Gwyneth Paltrow RTing it. It was from my personal friends loving it and sharing it and supporting it. So thank you, friends. You are always an endless source of inspiration.

Have a lovely weekend!
