Must-Have: Beautycounter
I first learned of Beautycounter when Shelley mentioned it right here on this very blog.
Shelley is one of those women who is always in the know so I was officially intrigued right away.
They were kind enough to send me some products to test out shortly thereafter, and surprise, surprise – Shelley was right.
Beautycounter is a line of healthy beauty products (developed by a mom of three!) designed to make you look and feel great, without all those pesky, harmful toxins we should all be avoiding.
In their own words:
The US bans or restricts only 11 ingredients from cosmetics. Beautycounter? More than 1500.
If that isn’t enough to turn your pretty little head, the products are great. I have been using the Routine Clean facial cleanser, the Clean Everyday shampoo and the Rinse Everyday conditioner and have loved them all. They all have a similar, light, citrus-y fragrance and a thick, creamy consistency that feels luxe and cleansing at the same time. They truly feel like everyday products — gentle, but effective, dependable and classic. And I love the packaging. Which is very important, especially when it comes to green and natural products, because sometimes they tend to skimp on the creativity and style for substance. I need a little pretty with my practical.
I have heard amazing things about the face oils and body scrub so those will be going onto my Christmas wish list as well.
After all, Santa is always looking for a great stocking stuffer idea…or two.
*disclaimer: Beautycounter sent me a selection of products from their collection to try but I was not compensated for this post and all opinions, as always, are all mine…and honest.
