Making My Monday
It’s Spring break around these parts this week, but sadly, I am not on it. Life of a consultant, it’s very hard to take a true vacation and unfortunately, given timing with a few work projects this month, I couldn’t even take a pseudo one this time around. Luckily, my in-laws are coming to town tonight to occupy my littles for the days ahead, because they are looking busy. Here are a few things I am looking forward to that are “Making My Monday” today:
I am going to meet Gwyneth Paltrow on Friday. Yes, for real. She is doing a cookbook signing at Williams Sonoma in Beverly Hills and I was telling myself it was too much to trek back to LA (I will be there the day prior, see below) just for that and then, of all people, my DAD convinced me to go. And even offered to drive with me so we can cash out in the carpool lane. So I bought my book and confirmed my ticket and away we will go. Check back next week for an update. And get excited for me!
I will also be up there on Thursday for Lucky FABB. I have followed this conference a few times now online and am excited to see it in real-life and to hear all the great speakers they have lined up. It’s invite only and the truth is, I wasn’t invited as a blogger, but have a lovely friend who has put me on the list nonetheless and hey…everything in life happens for a reason, right? Next time, I will score an invite 😉
I was selected for a very cool collaborative blogger project that I am working on this week, can’t wait to share with you all.
I am finally (sorry for being so late, T!) getting my Project Postal letter out in the mail this week, come hell or high water. This is such a fun, simple, inspired project and I am beyond embarrassed that it has taken me so long to get to it, but better late than…
And a cake, of course. This one by Sweet Paul (pictured above) is simple and quick, the perfect sweet treat for my guests this week.
Have a lovely Monday ~
rad that you’re going to the signing!
on my to-do list this week: go buy a copy. i’m excited!
i remember when i heard it was coming out and april felt so far away… and here it is…
xx
I’m so glad that your dad convinced you to go to the GP signing. It’s almost a requirement for you. 😉 You’ve got some pretty exciting things happening this month! I can’t wait to see it all unfold and read more about it here.
Oh, and no worries about Project Postal. You’re getting it done and about to make someone’s day, and that’s what counts.
