What To Do With Your Instagram Photos

I love Instagram. It might just be my favorite app of the moment, it literally has me looking at life through a different (filtered) lens as I try to find moments of beauty and fun to capture. I keep my account private (I know, I know…) but it’s a refuge for me to share pictures of our family with loved ones without putting them out for the world to see. And I love looking back on the photos even more. Just this morning, Kai and I were scrolling through them and came upon the pictures from LAST Halloween, his first, and it’s amazing to see how the kids have changed in just one short year. But scrolling back through almost 2,000 pictures can get tiring, so I decided to find some ways to bring my Insta shots to life – thought you might like them, too:

(Above) I despise fridge magnets in a serious way but lots of people love them so these Stickygram sheets will make a great stocking stuffer. $14.99 for a sheet of nine magnets of your choice, all 50mm x 50mm, which is approximately the size you see them on your iPhone.

This is a Pinterest find that is proving to be very popular. The original post with DIY instructions is here; it’s fairly simple, a little time spent in Photoshop, a print job at Costco, a frame, and done.

I think this is my favorite idea – just a good old fashioned photo book (I love these simple ones from Artifact Uprising). I miss the days of flipping through photo albums like I miss the days of going to Blockbuster and picking out a movie.

Make them into stickers! And cheap ones at that! For only $10 you can get 252 stickers in two books – I am going to get one for each kid and use them to personalize birthday gifts, holiday cards, notes to grandparents and teachers…everything!

Finally, an Insta calendar. If you have the time and patience to sort through your phone and find 365 shots you love, you can turn them into a tear-off desk calendar for a dose of inspiration and beauty every single day of 2013. I think I will stick with the book 😉

Oh, and happy Halloween! You didn’t think I was really going to post about it, did you?? Bring on Christmas!

Thank you for the Insta-advice! The Man does music and those stickers would be perfect to use for promotion. I love ALL these ideas and they are reasonably priced which is great!

    Happy Halloween:)~

Nice! I just last month made a photo book of all our Instagram photos. Food, family, and kids! We love it!

oh, thank you for posting this! i’ve been planning on doing *something* with mine, and haven’t figured out exactly what. i feel the same about instagram (makes my crap-ass pictures better, too). i’ve oddly found that using instagram makes me what a “real camera” more – because of how creative i can get with just the app – imagine how…you get the picture.

I love it, thanks for all these ideas! I had heard of Stickygram, but am similarly unenthused about putting stuff on the fridge. Stickers/photobooks…here I come! And just in time for Christmas, which is really helpful 🙂
