Making My Monday

September is shaping up to be a fun little month. Little D is back in school mode and “loves kindergarten.” Kai is babbling away and has added “yes” and “no” to his vocabulary and we’re still in the phase where it’s insanely cute…even the no. The hot weather is showing no sign of cooling off. It’s a good Monday, friends! Here are five things I am looking forward to this week:

Our anniversary was last month, but we’re celebrating this weekend with a staycation here. Enough said, right? Looks absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to unwind, kid-free, for two days and enjoy time with my skater boy.

On that note, the anniversary gifts I bought us arrived last night – perfectly late, of course. They are super cute and such a fun symbol of our relationship.

I bought these flats on a whim this weekend and love them. They add just the right amount of fun to any plain old outfit.

I am taking Kai to a mommy and me music class with a girlfriend on Wednesday. He has been spoiled with lots of at-home time thus far in life, which I love, but it’s always fun to see their personalities start to emerge in group settings like that. I have a feeling the “no” will be put to good use.

I have a big meeting for a potential new work opportunity on Thursday. I love that I am at that point in my career where I feel very secure and confident in my abilities and my knowledge, career-wise. I look forward to new business meetings because I know my stuff and I am proud of my work and that is a really nice place to be. So keep your fingers crossed for me, if I get it, I will be celebrating with extra champagne on my staycation 😉
