What I Am Pinning….Right Now

Just like the Clarisonic, I wanted to skip the whole Pinterest thing.

I signed up, logged in and signed right back out.

I didn’t get it. It felt like work. I realized I don’t have a real-life inspiration board for a reason…

Until recently.

I can’t tell you why or how or when, but suddenly, I started to see things on there that I liked. Things that really did inspire me. Things I wanted to touch or taste or try.

And just like that, I became a pinner.

I am not on Pinterest to promote my blog or products I like or places I go. I am on there because I always thought I didn’t really have a distinct style, a particular point of view, I just liked a variety of people, places and things.

But it turns out, that’s not true.

I do have a style. I do gravitate towards certain things. None of them are necessarily revolutionary, but to see them all in one perfectly pinned little place is nice.

A lot of them, it turns out, are black and white and grey and navy. A lot (not surprisingly) are inspired by Paris. A lot of them are modern and classic, but with just a hint of pretty. A lot of them (again, not surprisingly) include chocolate.

Whatever they are, wherever they came from, whatever they symbolize…they are a little piece of me.

Pinned on the internet for the world to see.

Now I get it.

Do you pin? Love it? Hate it? Have anyone I should follow?

Hahaha…I did the same with the Clarisonic! I was sold on Pinterest from the beginning. I find it to be a bit like the grown up version of plastering my walls with clippings from magazines when I was a teenager. 🙂
Aside from following my favorite folks, I love to search for a particular word like “joy” or “clouds” or “smitten” and see what pops up. So much fun.
Michelle from Pretty Mommy and Peggy from Paul and Paula always have great pins. Real Simple magazine is good as well.
    Best,
    Tina

I always forget about all the ways you can follow your favorite bloggers/friends. For some reason, your Pinterest boards had escaped me. Following now!

I loved Pinterest from the beginning. Some stuff is silly but a lot inspires me. Enjoy it! 🙂

Ok I need to know. How did you make the board that you posted from Pinterest? I am addicted to Pinterest by the way!!!

Took me a few times to like Pinterest, but now I love it. Unlike you though, my boards are all over the place and I don’t lean toward specific looks at all!
