Signature Me

I love nothing more than a person who makes their mark. A woman who has a true sense of self that comes through in everything she does. Someone with a signature style that defines who she is, what she loves and how she relishes the world around her…and I am not talking about your “signature” homemade Elmo birthday cakes, mamas.

As I continue on this journey through my 30s, I realize that sometimes change is not so good. Sometimes same old is classic, not boring. Sometimes you simply need a signature touch to leave a lasting impression. Here are some of mine:

If I owe you a thank you, chances are it will come hand-written on one of these note cards.

I will likely pen that heartfelt little note with one of these pool blue pens that match my office decor to a tee and can always be found in my handbag for meetings on the go.

Signature hostess gift. I love to give beautifully wrapped hand soaps and these are a surprisingly affordable, always chic favorite.

I always sign business emails with “Many Thanks” and personal ones with “xx.” And I NEVER confuse the two. No “xx” to be found in my work inbox, no matter how long we’ve been colleagues.

I love fresh flowers in the house, but white roses are my signature. I love them cut short, no filler, and fragrant as can be.

My signature scent for the home. It’s sweet, warm and light without being overindulgent.

And finally, my signature cocktail. It’s boozy, bubbly and really gets guests in a festive mood. Follow this favorite recipe and soon enough, your parties will be your true signature.

What are some of your signature favorites?

What a great post. The only one I can think of so far is the jasmine soap that I use (and everyone in my house uses, because I love it so much). I’m always trying to come up with others–make the decision right one time and you’ll never have to make it again, no?

Oh, I thought of one more: I order an Arnold Palmer at lunch whenever I have the chance.

I love this concept. Rather than think of the things you constantly do/buy as “creature of habit”, think of them as your signature. Those soaps are my favorite. The thin wire wrapped around the soap and finished off with the tiny stone is a beautiful touch. I actually have one sitting in my cabinet unopened; Sometimes I can’t bare to open it, it’s so pretty.

I love having signature anything – and love the selection of “signatures.” Such a great post and picks, too.
