Must-Have: Valleybrink Road

2014 June 5

As I have grown up (a little) in my 30s, I have started taking gift giving very seriously.

Gift cards simply won’t do anymore. I really pride myself on finding special, thoughtful, perfect gifts for the various happy occasions in the lives of those I love. Yes, I want to send them something they will use, but it should also put a smile on their face and leave a memory in their mind of that particular moment or milestone.

So I was delighted when I discovered Barrett Prendergast of Valleybrink Road.

Barrett creatively curates custom-made gift boxes of artisanal finds – foodie favorites, home decor must-haves, beautiful baby basics and the like – themed for special occasions including new baby, new home and any holiday you can think of.

Each is presented in a gorgeous Valleybrink Road gift box, topped with fresh florals and a pretty ribbon, making it almost too pretty to unwrap…almost.

Gift boxes range in price from $100 up to $400+, depending on size and contents, and each is carefully packed and prepared with love by Barrett and her team at home in Los Angeles (presumably somewhere on Valleybrink Road…). They can be customized to your gift recipient’s tastes and preferences – male or female, young or old, foodie or non.

And I can assure you they will leave an impression that no gift card could ever possibly match…no matter the denomination.

I called valleybrink road for a gift basket. They forgot to even make them after I reminded them TWICE; I was left scrambling to find someone else. For the premium prices they charge for gift baskets, their customer service was horrible and full of excuses. I would avoid!
