A Peek Inside the Goop Pop Up
So for those of you who may not be living in or around Los Angeles, Gwyneth Paltrow has brought her Goop vision to life with a small pop-up shop on the city’s westside, filled with all of her favorite finds from her newsletter since its inception.
The two-floor space is in the Brentwood Country Mart, an impossibly chic old stable house that has been converted into a retail mecca housing adorable shops from James Perse, Space NK, Sugar Paper, and more.
The whole scene at the Country Mart has always been very Goop-y. And Gwyneth has officially taken it over. When I finally got a chance to swing by yesterday, the parking lot was overflowing, paparazzi were at the ready, and buzz throughout the Country Mart was “Gwyneth Paltrow has a store here now…”
Well, it’s not there for long. The pop up is only popping up from May 5-11 so here is an inside look for those of you who can’t make it in-person.
The shop is beautifully presented and feels like it could be your own pied-a-terre, complete with sofa, arm chairs, coffee table and backgammon set – all for sale. It’s filled with the brands that Goop has collaborated with through the years: jewelry from Me & Ro, bags from Clare Vivier, skincare from Paltrow sponsor Restorsea, and some favorites from LA-based Beautycounter (which is what I snagged).
You can pick out a perfect pair of pajamas or monogram your own linen coasters.
It features a nice mix of home, beauty and fashion products. Every little corner has something to swoon over and photograph. And people were definitely photographing.
A view from the second floor looking down. The space makes you feel like you could grab a coffee and hang out all day. Don’t worry, I didn’t. Am fairly certain the shop girls wouldn’t be into that.
And every last detail is well-appointed, down to the shopping bags and Goop-esque thank you note that comes with each purchase.
With GP’s recipe for fries on the back, of course.
Because no girl should go another day without knowing how to make the perfect crispy fries.
PS – for those of you in the area, Gwyneth Paltrow will be at the shop on Saturday, May 10 from 10am-noon signing copies of her cookbook. I have done that dance before, but you should do it, too!

Glad you posted this, I was curious 🙂
I so wish I could go! It would be a long flight from Philadelphia! Thanks for the update!
