Dermalogica-WhatWouldGwynethDo

My skin has found a new savior: Dermalogica’s Gentle Cream Exfoliant.

We are extremely fortunate in Southern California that our skin doesn’t have to go through the usual rigors of Winter, but mine had still been acting a little uneasy lately. I get these little bumps on my forehead that have been irritated and flaring up for the first time in a while, I’ve been having more breakouts than I am used to, and I just felt like it needed a good refresh.

I read about this exfoliant on Lisa Eldridge’s blog and when she promised the combination of lactic and hydroxy acids would revitalize your skin without the usual harsh effects of rough exfoliants and scrubs, I was intrigued.

You apply this exfoliant like a mask so there is no “scrubbing” involved. Once applied, you let it sit for about 10 minutes, rinse, and follow with a moisturizer or face oil. Some people reportedly experience mild tingling as it works its magic, but I haven’t. What I did experience was instant results – my forehead was literally smoother after the first use and after the third, felt brand new. My pores looked and felt tighter. My skin felt softer. It simply looked better.

I literally wanted to use it every night but managed to hold out. Two to three times per week seems to be a great routine and after each use, my face looks and feels refreshed and glow-y.

The perfect, simple treatment to freshen up your tired February face. No matter what climate you are in.

So funny, I love the Clinique 7-day scrub, too! But I have to say, I like this better. Seems to give longer-lasting results…let me know if you try it!
