A Christmas Wish
Today marks the one-year anniversary of the tragic school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.
This is how I felt in the moment, a year ago today.
And a year later, I still mourn.
As a mother, I will probably forever mourn.
With all the joy of the holiday season that warms our hearts day in and day out, it is simply unthinkable to put yourself in the shoes of those other mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents and friends whose young families are forever changed. Whose holiday seasons will forever be scarred.
Today I will take a moment to think of them.
And to hug my babies tighter.
And to wish all those little babies lost far too soon a very Merry Christmas.
