CamelBlazer-WhatWouldGwynethDo

One of my must-haves for Fall caught me by surprise…kind of like Fall tends to do.

I was shopping for nothing at Zara one evening and came across a camel blazer on a rack of dark ones that was suddenly calling my name. The color was great, the fabric was nice and the fit was perfect…but in the back of my mind, I still wondered if it would get a lot of wear.

It has.

A lot.

And a lot of compliments to go along with it. So I recommend you pick one up for the new season, too – and here are some tips on how to wear it well:

You need to spice up a basic like this so punch up your look with fun accessories like this colorful Tasha chain head wrap.

Skip the classic striped tees and opt for something a little louder like this graphic H&M t-shirt.

Pair it with shades and make them bold and dark, to counteract the light hue of the blazer. I love this pair from RAEN.

Chambray and camel are a match made in heaven. Layer a shirt like this one over that graphic tee to make sure it’s not too monotone.

Keep your accessories bold. This red House of Harlow clutch is a perfect match.

Shoes are no exception – these fun cheetah Tory Burch flats complement the camel color but make it roar a little.

Definitely skip the perfect pale pinks and opt for a bright, vibrant mani like this fuschia from Zoya.

Pop the collar on your blazer and look for stand-out jewelry like this J. Crew necklace for some extra shine.

Finally, pass up the too preppy look for weekends on the go and pull out your favorite pair of distressed jeans instead.

Camel calling your name now, too? Oops. 😉

Love the camel color anything! It was my go to piece of clothing in college and when I worked in NYC, the camel blazer & the camel coat. (BTW, I miss Fall for this very reason) It’s funny, when I was back home this summer I raided my old closest to find them for this Fall. Sadly, I did not find…guess I have to pick a new one up!
