Trend to Try – Hot Pink Lips
Hot pink lips were all the rage on the trend forecasts for Spring/Summer, but I personally found the look was a little much alongside the bright, bold hues that already typically take over our wardrobes, accessories and manicures during the warmer seasons.
So I recommend revisiting this surprisingly chic style for Fall.
Here’s how:
Pair it with camels, greys, navy, denim and other subdued neutrals for a pretty effect that really pops.
Keep the rest of your look very minimal – simple, classic hair. Very little eye make up. Maybe a touch of soft pink on your cheeks, but not much else.
Make sure it’s matte. An overly glossy bright pink screams sorority girl, not Style.com.
Find one that is long-lasting or master the art of reapplying. Nothing is more lukewarm than a faded hot pink.
Use a liner. Keep it neat.
And finally, own the look. Put it on and forget about it (until you reapply, of course). Confidence is key when going bold with your beauty choices, so think pink!
My favorites are (pictured above, from left):

What do you recommend for those of with very thin lips? I am always torn between wanting to have some color on my lips but not wanting to draw to attention to the fact that I have an extremely small upper lip. I feel like lining my lips just makes them look even worse. Would appreciate some suggestions! Love the blog!
