Making My Monday

2013 April 15

This weekend was a busy one. We had Little D’s AMAZING dance party birthday celebration on Friday night (and two days later, I have finally cleaned up the new toy tsunami that hit my house) and then we wrapped up two straight weeks of family visiting with my sister’s last few days in town over margaritas and Mexican last night. It’s always fun to have a busy schedule, but it’s also always nice to go back to the routine. I guess there’s something to be said for “same old” around these parts.

Here are a few things I am looking forward to this week – the things “Making My Monday”:

I am co-hosting a preview of Splendid‘s new summer collection at their LaJolla University Town Centre boutique on Thursday evening. If you live in the area, hope you will pop by. There will be complimentary beauty treatments, bubbles and bites AND you get to shop 20% off everything in store with me and LaJolla Mom. Event details are here and you can RSVP to

I will also have a fun giveaway from my friends at Splendid on the blog tomorrow especially for San Diego readers, so make sure you check back in. It’s my first giveaway ever and it’s a good one!

My daughter’s school has its annual art show later this week as well. Each class works together all year on a group collaboration tied to a specific theme and the kindergarten class chose New York City – is that the coolest or what?!? I can’t wait to see their interpretation.

Remember that blogger project I mentioned a few weeks back?? It should be going live this week. Will be sure to share it with you here once it does.

Finally, a little dose of summer that is scheduled to come our way at the tail-end of the week. Sunny and 77? Yes, please. We’ll likely be kicking off the weekend at the beach, s’mores in hand and toasting to the months of stunning San Diego sunsets that lay ahead of us. Kai (in picture above) is already practicing his hang ten, as you can see.

Happy Monday ~
