Must-Have: J. Crew Minnie Pant
Finding a great pant isn’t always easy so when you do, you must share. I am here to share, my friends.
First, let’s talk about pants…I wear jeans most days because I struggle with pants a bit. I am about 5’8″ and I have hips. Real hips. Though they are starting to look a little less hip-y these days thanks to The Dailey Method.
I like my pants to be comfortable, I want to be able to move in them, I don’t want them low-rise, they need to look chic, have to be able to pair them with flats AND heels…my list of requirements is a lengthy one. Which is why I don’t own a ton of pants that I love.
Until now.
The J. Crew Minnie pant. I read about it in one of their recent catalogs — “slimming, flattering, and chic” were just some of the adjectives they used. And lo and behold, they were right.
I went into the store the other night and almost walked out with three pairs. They fit so well, they literally lifted my butt (again, with a little help from The Dailey Method), they looked perfect for day or night…I instantly fell in love. I went for the stretch twill instead of the wool, which is a little stiffer and felt too heavy for the new season upon us. Due to budget restrictions, I ended up just getting the black, to start, though the blue is definitely next on my list for a punch of color this Spring.
One note, and the salesgirl was right. She said these pants stretch, sometimes up to a whole size, and encouraged me to try them in TWO sizes below my usual. And THEY FIT. I haven’t been in that size for a while now, so whether it’s all an illusion or not, I don’t care. I was sold. I am sold. And trust me, you should be, too!

Try the jcrew factory website, same pants, much lower price!
Rachel! You are a genius! Is it the “Winnie” pant over there? Can you confirm they are the same fit??
Yes! They are the best!
I just discovered these pants too! They are amazing. My sis recommended them to me for a spring fashion shoot I am doing for my blog. I’ll send you the link when it’s up, but when I was wearing these my body looked totally different (in a good way ) :).
I’ve been wanting to try these pants and now I will after reading this! My issue is my legs are not model slim (though in my mind they are!) and it’s a challenge finding skinny pants or jeans that I can pull up my legs and don’t look like sausage casings!
