A Recipe For a Long Life
At bedtime tonight, I told Little D I would love her for her entire life.
“Can I live to be 100?”
“Of course,” I said.
And so I took it upon my 34-year-old self to tell her how:
Take care of your body and your mind.
Be healthy. Don’t smoke, eat good food, exercise every day.
Read a lot.
Travel. See interesting things and meet interesting people.
Be nice. Having good friends in life keeps you young and healthy.
Work hard at everything you do.
Laugh a lot. Dance a lot. Sing a lot.
Get lots of sleep…and start now.
I sure hope my advice works.
