Must-Have: Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum

We all know I am not a beauty blogger, but I love products (as do most women I know) and I love to share (as do most bloggers I know) so I was particularly excited when the lovely team at Mario Badescu reached out to me to introduce some of their classic favorites and newest soon-to-be favorites.

I am Romanian, as some of you know, so have always had an affinity for this brand and its clean, clinical chic packaging. I have used the uber-popular drying lotion but admittedly never looked too far beyond that.

Well apparently this Romanian has been missing out.

The vitamin C serum caught my eye instantly. I have been wanting to try something similar for a while now, but always thought my 34-year-old routine of wash, moisturize and occasionally tone and exfoliate was fine as is.

Until now.

I used the vitamin C serum and seriously, after the very first use, I saw results. Now again, I am not a beauty blogger, so I haven’t tried 432 serums and I don’t know the lingo and the technical benefits, etc. etc.

But I do know this – my skin felt and looked amazing. After only one use.

It just looked a little brighter, softer, and more radiant. And in the several uses since then, it has maintained its effects, to the point where I forgot to bring it on our trip last week and was actually excited to come home and use it.

So I went to Nicole from the Mario Badescu PR team and asked her to share the lingo and technical benefits with you:

What is the vitamin C serum targeting, exactly?

The Vitamin C Serum helps promote collagen production, protect the skin from free radical damage as well as repair existing damage.  It targets elasticity, uneven texture and discoloration.

What is a serum for those that don’t know?

A serum is a product generally applied before moisturizer that is formulated with a high concentration of active ingredients.

Who should use this product?

This is a great product for anyone who would like to add an anti-aging element to their current regimen.

Who should NOT use this product?

If you have severe acne, a skin condition, are taking a topical prescription for a skin condition or are highly sensitive consult your dermatologist before using this product.

What results can one expect from the vitamin C serum?

With regular use skin will look more firm, brighter and more even toned.

Any other tips for people using it?

Make sure to use sunscreen daily. Vitamin C plus sunscreen is a winning combination for anti-aging.

So that’s it in a nutshell, from me and from Nicole. If you try it, let us know what you think!

*Disclaimer: Mario Badescu sent me this product, but all opinions are my own…and honest.
