Making My Monday

Five things Making My Monday this week:

My parents arrive home tomorrow from a two-week trip to Europe. And boy did we miss them…and their extra helpful hands.

A dear friend’s baby shower is coming up this weekend and I actually have my gift ordered and set for delivery…five days in advance!

On Thursday, I am trying out this recipe I found on Pinterest. I say Thursday because I menu-planned for the week. I opted for “take out” on Tuesday…is that bad??

Little D “graduates” from preschool this week. I put this in quotes because she is technically staying at her preschool all summer for camps (working mom syndrome) but once they start back up in the fall, she will officially be in kindergarten. Wow. Where does the time go? I was getting really sad about it but then she fell in the toilet last week while trying to go potty “grown up style” (i.e. not holding herself up) so she’s clearly still my baby for now.

I have another new writing gig! I will share the details once it’s all up and ready to go, but will be contributing on a monthly basis to a very cool online magazine I love.

I am so very excited for all that the future holds.

Happy Monday!

I had to comment on your recipe as it looks amazing and I will be trying this week as well. I was introduced to your blog thru another local Carlsbad mom blogger and I love it. Very fresh and down to earth.

Hello. Garlic gravy? How delightful is that? My son just graduated from Lower School (6th grade at his school), so I feel how milestone-y you’re feeling right now. If I can say so, it only gets better and better. I loved the elementary school years, and would love to do it all again.

Congrats on the writing gig! Looking forward to seeing what it is. Also, planning for takeout is totally legit.

Congratulations on the new writing gig! Can’t wait to hear more about it.
    D. is going to kindergarten next year? Keep us posted come fall on how you’re doing. 😉
Meal planning a take out night is not bad. Sometimes it’s a necessity. Sometimes I just don’t want to eat what I cook.
