Making My Monday

2012 May 14

We had a really lovely weekend in the desert, it was nice to see so many young families like ours together, laughing, playing, splashing, having fun. And I have to tell you, there were not that many parents glued to their phones or iPads while they were doing it…could it be a sign of change? Here’s hoping. I certainly tried to unplug, but I snuck in a Tweet or two.

Anyhow, I digress. Here are five things Making My Monday today:

This happened on Saturday but it’s going to count all week: Huffington Post Parents included ME in their round up of the best parenting Tweets of the week. Me and Jessica Simpson!

I long ago gave up on being a perfume person but recently, I have had the itch to add some sort of nice, light, simple fragrance to my daily beauty routine. How could I not go back to this old favorite? Dabbed on a touch today and it feels lovely.

I signed a new project for work that has to do with female entrepreneurs and success in business. Two topics I am pretty darn passionate about, which is nice.

I have dubbed this “the Summer of the Mojito,” so I am on the lookout this week for awesome, easy-to-follow recipes to taste test. Please share if you have one!

I am almost done with Bringing Up Bébé (my review is coming, I love it) and am moving on to Simplicity Parenting next. I am so excited to be back in love with reading and have been opting most nights to keep the TV off and just dive into my book instead. It feels great.

Hope you have a nice Monday. xx

Congrats on the recognition by the Huffington Post! That’s so awesome!

And I’m actually moving on to Simplicity Parenting next myself. Even if I’m no where near being a parent. Maybe I’ll learn a bit about parenting myself?

    Happy new week!!

I can’t wait for your book review and I have Simplicity Parenting on my bookshelf but haven’t started it yet. I may wait for your review on that too!
