What I Am Loving…Right Now

2012 January 4

Voluspa Truffle White Cocoa, $18.00 – I am a sweet scents girl and this one practically makes your tooth ache. It infuses your home (I keep mine in the bedroom) with a rich, chocolate-y fragrance that I cannot get enough of on these – ahem – chilly nights. By chilly, I mean in the 50s, we live in SoCal. And the tin is just as lovely to look at.

Kiehl’s Original Musk Shower Gel, $16.00 – I am not, however, a perfume person, so scented gels and lotions that actually last are a staple for me and this Kiehl’s Original Musk is warm and inviting, without being overbearing. Also doubles as a bubble bath.

I Love Your Style by Amanda Brooks, from $13.59 – This was another fun Christmas gift from my sister. It’s not that I necessarily love the idea of a style tome, in fact I find the concept to be a touch obnoxious, but Ms. Brooks has done it in a smart way. She doesn’t preach from her years of experience in fashion, she shares, and she does it in such a visually compelling way, I couldn’t stop flipping through it well into Christmas night.

Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, $31.00 – This is by no means a must-have, but it’s a must-want. I picked it up on a whim once at Sephora and have had a bottle on my vanity ever since. It’s an all-natural formula intended to hydrate and restore the complexion…and it probably does. But to me, each spray simply gives me a moment of “ah…” where I inhale deep and give my reflection a little smile in the mirror for being so good to myself. And that’s worth every penny.

Chanel Precision Eyelash Curler, $34.00 – If you follow me on Twitter, you know I have been contemplating an eyelash curler for a while now. Well, Santa stuffed one (Chanel, no less!) in my stocking this year and in a matter of days, I was a firm believer. The impact is glam and easy, two things I love in my beauty routine. Did I need the Chanel one? No. Do I love the Chanel one? Mais, oui.
